Application Overview:

To invest in the future of Black leadership, we will provide grants to educators pursuing Montessori training through MACTE credentialed programs. Our goal is to train and foster communities of practice for Montessori educators committed to students furthest from opportunity. We encourage all educators with a proven track record of serving low-income and communities of color to apply!

Please note: priority will be given to individuals who've already applied and been accepted to a Montessori training program. Grant funds will be distributed directly to the MACTE-accredited* training center to cover tuition costs. This grant will not cover application fees, books, or travel. 

To complete this application, you will need:

The most current version of your resume.

Details about the Montessori Training Center you will attend, including tuition information.

A clear vision about how this Montessori Training Credential will fit into your goals as an education leader.

Applicant has either began, applied to, or have been accepted into a MACTE certified training program.

Please Note:

Applications are due on March 30, 2026!  If you have any questions or concerns regarding your application, please email simone.webster@blackwildflowers.org no later than March 17th, 2026. 

*Adolescent Montessori programs do not need to be MACTE-certified, please email simone.webster@blackwildflowers.org to get approval for a specific adolescent program.
